Description

The system provides a high accuracy magnetic field in the range of range 0.08 to 0.3 Tesla (800 - 3000 Gauss) with an absolute accuracy +/ 10 milliGauss, a stability +/- 2 milliGauss and a polarity +3000 Gauss reversed to -3000 Gauss switched and regulated within 30 seconds. It is possible to set 0 value out of regulation (0 +/- 100 milliGauss).
The system can controlled manually (local mode) or through a computer (RS232 or IEEE488) in remote mode.

B. Power Supply, 15V-6A

The current is adjustable up to 15 A, with a stability of 105.The design allows an immediate reverse of polarity on the electromagnet. The correction is provided by the regulation controller, in order to obtain the requested magnetic field.
It is possible to control the power supply in local mode with fine adjustment provided by 2 potentiometers (100% and 1%) and switch the polarity. It is also possible to control the power unit in remote mode through the gaussmeter.

C. Thermal Chamber

The thermal chamber placed in the electromagnet allows tests of components in a range og -500 to +/- 1500C. The temperature regulation is obtained with thermal liquid equipment available on the market. The thermal isolation requests primary vacuum. The interface with the liquid of the temperature regulation consists of copper tubes of 6mm and a pt100 temperature probe. The electric interface is given on a connector of 20 pins (2 pins used for pt100 probe). The nmr probe is placed externally, in the axis of the test volume (miniature probe). The available internal volume of the chamber is 14 x 44 x 250 mm. The cartridge inserted allows easy change of the tested component: test volume inside the cartridge is 10 x 20 mm and 5 mm thickness and includes a plug-in connector (15pins).

D. Regulation Controller

This unit delivers a voltage command +/- (0-10V) to the power unit according the delta between the assigned field and the measured field. The regulation occurs in range of +/- 400 Gauss (in standard model), in accordance with the set of the power supply.

The absolute regulation is better than +/- 10 mG PP with a resolution of 1 milliGauss and a relative accuracy of 1 milliGauss. This performances is obtained thanks to the gaussmeter. The magnetic field is assigned with 8 digits through the front panel in the local mode or through a computer. It is possible to set regulation or watch with a switch or through the gaussmeter

E. NMR Gaussmeter

The gaussmeter will be delivered along with a probe ranging from 0.08 to 0.40 Tesla - standard or miniature housing , transversal sample - a cable of 5 meters and one preamplifier.
