Description

The multiplexer is a switching box used to connect up to 8 probes to the gaussmeter and control them via one device:

  • MUX4 - 4 channel multiplexer to connect up to 4 probes
  • MUX8 - 8 channel multiplexer to connect up to 8 probes

Picture: example environment for MUX4 with four nmr probes

Channel Selection

The selection of the channel is made either by a switch on the front panel of the multiplexer, or by remote switching via the gaussmeter.

  • Channel Selector 1-8 = 1-8 channel
  • Channel Selector 0   = remote switching via gaussmeter

Remote Switching

To control the probe selection via the gaussmeter, the multiplexer and gaussmeter will be connected through the DB25 interface on the back side of each device.
