Maintenance and Repair

This work may include replacing of components by those of updated design and capacities leading to an improved performance of the equipment. A respective stock of improved components is available.

Alignment

Before executing the calibration procedure, alignment will be performed :

• DC voltage control, balance pic synchro, manual control, gain, LF response, noise;
• adjustment of trimmers of the chains (tracking amplitude, tracking residual, balance synchro, phase, gain, oscillator frequency, fast noise);
• adjustment of rejection filter in pre amplifier (if any).

Calibration

Calibration is executed step by step in line with a form sheet stating the requirements and forming thereafter the following protocol:

gaussmeter

1. Alternating current synchronisation >> type of probe;

2. Direct current synchronisation >> entire field range;

3. LF gain (min-max) and LF response >> type of probe;

4. noise >> type of probe;

5. gyro magnetic/frequency ratio according to probe sample (gaussmeter + pre amp + probe(s)).

 

probe(s)

1. Adjustment of voltage / field measured value, field area;

2. Measurement of a static reference magnet, manually and automatically, field noise (Gaussian distribution), signal noise and fast noise;

3. Adjustment on the field which can be measured (manual field potentiometer index, signal and scanning adjustment).
